Inn on Bath Creek Wins Going Green Recognition

The Inn on Bath Creek has recently been awarded a Certificate of Recognition for our commitment to “Going Green”. The certificate was awarded by the NC Department Environment and Natural Resources.

The NC Green Travel award is designed to encourage the tourism industry to “Go Green”. It recognizes businesses that recycle material, excel in water efficiency, practice energy conservation, and therefore strive to practice green standards in all aspects of their housekeeping practices.

In the travel industry today, more and more visitors actively seek out properties that are committed to green initiatives. Eco-tourism is a growing phenomenon that we applaud. We believe that our environment deserves to be protected, and are delighted to be recognized for our efforts.

Some of the benefits of ‘Going Green’ eco-tourism include:

  • Increased environmental awareness.
  • Improving the local economy by supporting sustainable, local growth.
  • Natural resource management.
  • Improved understanding of local ecosystems, geology and biology.

The Inn on Bath Creek is the only B&B in Beaufort County with this recognition. Most importantly, we hope to lead the way in encouraging other business to go green.
